I read that was a possibility before, is there anything being said about it? I have a self catering place booked by the sea mid April.
I know he’ll be announcing today, but I knew there would be some leaks beforehand!

Just a day trip will do me

I have small Airbnb and had blocked off all the availability except for one weekend in May. Someone has just this second booked it so I'm not sure what they know that I don't Confused

I'm assuming our Easter break isn't happening. I'm also assuming our weekend away end of April (activity break planned as dh's birthday present and rebooked twice already) isn't happening. Not even sure about May half term. Might be June/July before it's possible.......

I had written off Easter long time ago and to be honest I hope it’s not possible the last thing we need is a mass migration of people over a two week period when we’ve just starting to release some of the restrictions it would be absolute chaos
I’m hoping they will keep hospitality shut until after Easter also for the same reasons

We booked a Glamping pod for 2 nights for 12th April, look like that will be going ahead now.

So holiday rentals in Wales may well be open for Easter although In England they can’t open until April 12th. Does that mean English people can go to Wales? Crazy having different rules.

DipSwimSwoosh · 22/02/2021 19:19

I thought he just said May?

CeeceeBloomingdale · 22/02/2021 19:24

Self contained self catering accommodation in England from 12 April at the earliest and all from the same household. Other domestic accommodation e.g. hotels, b&bs from 17 May at the earliest. International from 17 May at the earliest.

Have we got a date for wales self catering yet? I’m sure it was all sounding positive for Easter last week but can’t find if a definite decision was made?

Incogweeto · 22/02/2021 19:37

I think it''s 'stay local if you can' and most things being closed, but if you're camping or going to a second home it should be ok?

I expect Wales will ban people crossing into Wales to have holidays, but if they don't I guess they'll have a booming Easter holiday season!

Will I find a self catering place that will do a Monday start....but I'd have to leave Sunday as I'm back in school on the Monday !!!
Why couldn't he start from the Saturday ?????

CeeJay81 · 22/02/2021 19:52

Sorry I've been at work all day. Planning on sending a few messages tonight, so hopefully will find something.

@LucilleTheVampireBat no there isn't a premier Inn nearby unfortunately but thanks anyway.

I'm really confused by the guidelines. We have a park debe booked for the end of April- does anyone know if it will be going ahead?!

It depends on where it is and what you're staying in, I posted the details just above. If it's in England and is self contained eg caravan, cottage, apartment they have suggested this could be possible as early as 12th April (it will be continuously reviewed so the date could change to later but not earlier). If it's not self contained eg a room in a hotel, hotel or B&B then the earliest date it is possible is 17th May.

Any camping looks off unless you are totally self contained in a caravan as all,the shower blocks are apparently staying closed. So first real chance is mid May onwards.

See stupid in that I can run in the gym with someone next to me, but last time we went to a camp site every other cubicle was shut so far safer than a gym...and there haven't been any real infection issues from gyms

User7538943 · 24/02/2021 08:05

We are waiting on the site we booked with to say whether it will be open from 12th April for self contained caravans and motorhomes as shared indoor facilities can't open
