My daughter goes back tomorrow. Teachers having a day to sort things out today but she is so looking forward to going back😁 and were looking forward to not having the home schooling struggles of getting her to sit down and do work for more than 5 minutes 🤣

I’ve got an inset today but feeling buoyed by the fact that it seems like I’ll only have to get through 9 school days until my class are back!!!!

I'm guessing she is a little one, so must be very excited to see her friends again 😀

I've just got one of mine returning for two mornings later this week. No end in sight for the other one yet. I think the cautious, staged approach is right, but am looking forward to getting back into some sort of school routine.

My youngest DD is up and getting dressed. She is a bit worried and says she'll miss us but I'm glad she's going back.
Still have to do a bit of home learning with her older brothers but 1/3 is good!
Good luck to everyone else, especially the teachers!

CeeJay81 · 22/02/2021 08:18

@DumplingsAndStew yes she is year 2, so just made it. She is def looking forward to seeing her friends, she's miss sociable and getting bored at home.

I've also got an older one staying at home too. He's year 7 and I've no idea when Wales are sending them back, I reckon after Easter 😯. He can work reasonable ok at home though, so it's not so bad. It's a long time to be off though and even if hey could go in part time it'd be good.

I didn't know whether to plan lessons for 2 weeks or 6 weeks so 9 got sulky and planned for 1 day - I definitely need luck! Grin

Hopefully I'll know how much panic planning I need to do by this evening!

IDSNeighbour · 22/02/2021 08:19

I got sulky, not 9.

I just realised that Scotland and Wales go back physically today and it's them you were talking to, not those of us returning to online learning. Embarrassed now! Blush

But I still think we need luck to survive online learning!
