Vaccine - not in Group 6 but offered anyway

I have seen threads here of people getting vaccine and having no clue why -no known underlying conditions. I know of three people personally in this situation.

They are delighted but scratching their heads as to why they were offered the vaccine. One of them wonders if the GP is keeping something from them i.e do they have an underlying condition they are unaware of.

Is it just a case of spare vaccines or is it something else?

Locally we had a processing error when they ran the 16-64 vulnerable group - they accidentally invited a bunch of people without underlying conditions. They have apologised but will honour any jab offers.

The people I know are from opposite ends of the country. Errors make sense. I guess it isn't a problem if those most vulnerable still get vaccine at right time. My worry is they don't. I know of one person I would have expected to have been offered the vaccine but hasn't.

I think a lot of people have conditions from some time ago that appear on their records during NHS searches. Broken wrists are one of them - something about broken lists being linked to something! Mental health issues being another. Some ceoliacs don't realise that they are eligible in group 6 (depending on your GP).
There are lots of group 6 people desperate to be vaccinated before school starts but are still waiting. Its all down to our own GP practises when it comes to Group 6. I do think someone somewhere should make sure all of Group 6 has been vaccinated before other areas move past group 10. But some areas have already done group 10 so have just continued on with the adult age groups.
