Vaccines arrived in my country today

I'm so excited! Finally an end is in sight!

We can sign up for vaccination through the contact tracing app next month and there are only three groups - frontliners, elderly/vulnerable and then everyone else. Unlike the UK they are prioritising vaccinating in areas with worse outbreaks. Interesting how different countries prioritise differently.

There's no point to this post I'm just happy and excited!

Yay! I'm really happy for you. I definitely get great satisfaction from watching the stats on how many people here have had a vaccination move up a little more each day - it makes a nice change from looking at the awful charts of hospitalisations and deaths.

It is interesting to see how different countries prioritize.
In my case I'm in the US, so here we have 50 different ways because it is up to each State. Today I received my 2nd dose. I'm so thrilled to be fully vaccinated. But I also know that if i were living in a different state then I am I may not have had my turn for a while.

The ministry of health did a live stream of the shipment arrival and made a real event of it!

We've got a variety of vaccines. 50% phizer then 10-20% each of Oxford, sputnik and a couple of the Chinese ones. I'm hoping for phizer or Oxford but wouldn't say no to anything tbh!
