For me swimming. We love swimming and it’s a good activity for a rainy
Day.

Although we are going into spring to will be a bit easier to do fun activities outside.

Theme parks and zoo's. We need a really good day out. I've got some money set aside and will have a list of possible dates and places that we want to go ready to book on Monday evening. Obviously I'm aware that Boris may not say when they will be opening but I'll have my list, phone and bank card at the ready just in case.

We have a jar, and all of us can put in bits of paper with what we miss and want to do ‘after’. It’s getting really full. Kids range from preschool to old teen....
They are so simple in what they want. They want school mainly, and also play dates, grandparents, skateparks, swimming, friends at the park, a helter skelter, candy floss, the pier, cinema, camps, a boat ride, to go on a bus etc etc....

I want...coffee shops, silence, time on my own, tidiness, a reason to wear ‘real’ clothes, theatre, food I haven’t cooked, time to be creative, hugs from people I’m not living with, to feel less stressed and to stop home bloody schooling, and to have just some space in my life that isn’t full of other people’s needs.

Dropping her off at her grandparents and leaving her there.

Swimming without a doubt. We talk about it all the time! The kids often make their own changing rooms and put on their swimming stuff and swim around on the living room carpet.

4year old DD said yesterday "just wait until we go swimming mummy and you see my amazing diving"!
She's been practicing jumping off the sofa. Grin

I'll have to keep an extra eye on her when we do go again!

Playdates in other people’s houses/gardens. Sounds simple, but with a two year old a winter park visit with a friend and their toddler(s) is like trying to herd pissed off cats in a rainstorm. Wet, miserable and bloody exhausting.

Being able to actually sit down in someone’s living room/garden and have an adult chat while the littlies entertain each other is my dearest wish right now.

@RuleWithAWoodenFoot There’s always that too!

We are genuinely hoping to drop 2yo DD at my mum’s for a couple of nights in May half term and have an Airbnb trip away. I’ll cry with relief if it goes ahead 😂
