Vaccination, group 6

Sorry if this has been covered before. My husband is in group 6 (heart disease). He has not had a letter asking him to book his vaccination. My friend says he can book online (we have Swiftqueue in our area). Is this correct or does he need to wait for an invitation. I’m not trying to jump any queue, we are both relaxed about it

Same here Silverstar - trying to keep calm when no news of a vaccine.

Everyone over 60 can now book!

As well as anyone with underlying conditions that are on the list

If you cant book on google then ring 119

I am group 6 (gp confirmed this due to my heart disease) but sadly can’t book still. What is the 119 number actually for? Not sure if it’s worth trying.

What do you mean by book on google?

I’ve just been on the NHS booking page and it still won’t let me for group 6 with an underlying condition.

You don’t need an invite 119 will allow you to book if you’re eligible and group 6 is eligible now. There’s 2 systems running this is the National one. If you wait he will eventually be called by his GP but this will just take longer. There have been errors with some put in wrong group by NHS system, which then makes it impossible to book on 119

Angel50 · 25/02/2021 12:23

BTW 119 people are just typing into the online system for you so if you can’t book online they can’t either.

ClarasZoo · 25/02/2021 12:25

Can over 60s now book direct at the hubs?

Beaniecats · 25/02/2021 13:55

Reading comments on local community Facebook re group 6
Some GPs are letting patients with epilepsy book others aren't
Some are saying patients with asthma can book regardless of severity others aren't
In other words as might have been predicted leaving GP surgeries in charge group 6 is utterly chaotic and unfair

fireflylanegirls · 25/02/2021 13:56

@LittleG69

Thanks all. I’ve booked it with his NHS number and ticked the box that he’s in the vulnerable group 6 category. There are hundreds of appointments this weekend in our nearest centre
@LittleG69

How did you book online? I’m group 6 and it won’t let me.

needadvice54321 · 25/02/2021 13:59

I'm interested in that too @fireflylanegirls

Beaniecats · 25/02/2021 14:29

Nor me

khaleesi71 · 25/02/2021 15:37

I'm also group 6 and I've had a letter from GP. My GP is in London as it's near work so was hoping I could book at a vaccine hub nearer to home. I can get a GP appt but wasn't able to book via a hub as it said I wasn't eligible. I wonder if some areas have managed to move forward compared to others. Locally vaccines were held to enable stocks to be distributed evenly.
