Does anyone have any recommendations for hand sanitizer that doesn’t give me flashbacks to my tequila fueled teenage days?! I have one small bottle that smells pretty good so I know such a thing exists but I can’t remember where I got it from!

Aldi's lemon sherbet

Bohomie · 18/02/2021 21:53

I like the cuticura one. Smells like cucumber

RedcurrantPuff · 18/02/2021 21:55

I am not using it much now but I bought loads for the kids going back to school so probably have a lifetime supply! My current one is the carex lemon one. The Superdrug strawberry one is nice too. Although why didn’t I know molton brown did one! Off to look

Bodyshop do a coconut one and a mango one, both smell lovely!

Youngatheart00 · 18/02/2021 22:07

This Works Stress Check hand gel - can get it in Sainsbury’s for about a fiver. Really nice scent and not vodka-like at all!

isitreallytrue · 18/02/2021 22:09

Another vote for This Works brand. Lavender fragrance and non-drying.

Another vote for the Yorkshire soap company.

Thanks all! Knew this would be the best place to ask! Now I just have to decide which one to try first...

@Ginfordinner

For those of you who WFH how are you getting through so much sanitiser? I hardly ever use it. Sanitiser is widely available at the entrance to supermarkets, and when I'm at home I just use soap and water.
I like to keep one in my car for when I’m out and about. Especially for using after all the walks I’m doing currently. Don’t like the ones they provide in supermarkets etc so like one for in my bag too. Plus I’m still going out to work so use it there too. Use soap and water at home.

B&M have silicone bottles that have different fruit scents and everyone raves about my Carex Love Hearts scented sanitiser! I go through too much to buy expensive ones.

Superdrug do a lovely one, it’s in a pink bottle

SageYourResoluteOracle · 19/02/2021 01:53

Aesop... pricey but worth it!

Dr Bronner

Alfaix · 19/02/2021 07:05

I have the Neom one, it’s lovely.

BobsDouble · 19/02/2021 07:37

I like the This Works one. It’s one of the few that doesn’t cause my eczema to flare up, and it smells nice.

Swimmingwiththebees · 19/02/2021 07:49

My favourite one has been Soap & Glory

mootymoo · 19/02/2021 07:52

Make sure the alcohol content is high enough to kill viruses! Many of the ones on sale now apparently aren't strong enough, defeating the point.

RoseRiver · 19/02/2021 08:01

ThisWorks is a league above other hand gels.
It feels as though it has little granules in it which disappear as you rub it in and leaves your hands moisturised as if you’ve put hand cream on, not sticky.
And it smells like you’ve been in a spa, you can get the big 500ml bottle for about £15, bit more expensive than some but it lasts a long time and the difference in your hands is well worth it
