Er, has anyone else had a new email telling them to shield off the back of the new Oxford data

I got one this morning, BMI just over 30, white aged 39, don't live in a massively deprived area, am not a carer/don't work in healthcare.
Have a diagnosis of mild asthma - and I mean mild, haven't used inhalers for years, never been hospitalized - have been given a preventative in the past but again, not for a good few years.

Have rang doctors and have forwarded email to them. Anyone else had this?

Yes! I've just had an email come in. Not sure why. I've just had a baby 3 weeks ago; had gestational diabetes. Currently BMI is 28, but that's cos I was pregnant! Although my BMI is usually around 25-26. Can't figure out if it's a genuine email or not either. I mean, no action required other than shield. Which is no different to what I was doing whilst I was pregnant and now with a newborn anyway. Interested to see if more people have received it.

That's interesting, I had a baby in May and also had GD, but have been told my blood test after is fine. I wonder if it's something to do with that

I got one too. I haven’t been weighed at a drs since I was pregnant 10years ago. I’m slightly overweight but nothing else. I just don’t understand why I have it. I called my drs surgery who didn’t have a clue why either as I’m 38 had my first jab and haven’t had any health problems in years. I did have gestational diabetes while pregnant so maybe that’s why.

Okay so I've just seen something on social media confirming it's the gestational diabetes!
