Shielding list almost doubled. Do you think this means protect the vulnerable and let everybody else out to get on with it?

It crossed my mind that this might be part of their motivation, aside getting the vulnerable vaccinated of course.

What do you think?

Could this be "get the vulnerable to shield until vaccinated so we can let everybody else out to get on with it"?

I wish that were true but feel unlikely to be so.

Frozenintime · 16/02/2021 23:08

It could be to help more people get priority vaccination perhaps ?

ChocOrange1 · 17/02/2021 06:13

No I think it's because we now have more data on who is really vulnerable, si they're trying to get those people vaccinated.

The government have clearly chosen the path of "all in it together" and waiting for vaccines, rather than "shield the vulnerable" and its it's a bit late to change track now.

My thought was it prioritised some for the vaccine.

"shield the vulnerable and the rest of us crack on!" is and has always been unrealistic rubbish, so no, it won't be the plan.
