Vaccines run out at our GP practice. What happens now?

I’ve been invited for my vaccine, however when I tried to book by calling the number provided, it went straight to a pre recorded message saying there are no available appointments this week. I called the surgery and was told they had run out of vaccines.
Does anyone know how long it takes to replenish stocks again? I was told it’s the Oxford vaccine mainly at our GP surgery.
Thanks

I don’t think anyone can tell you what the supply is likely to be at your particular surgery.
Is there a vaccination centre you could book in at?

My GP surgery find out each week how much vaccine they will get and then invite people according to that number. It varies from week to week. This week they are getting 400 does. Other weeks it has been 1500 or 2000.

My GP surgery has done from the eldest / most vulnerable down to the 75-79 age group and everyone else will be going to the mass vaccination centres which have been set up.

Book using this link, it should give you other places to get vaccinated

We normally find out on a Friday what we'll have delivered the following week. If we know we're getting vaccine the following week, the text messages go out on Friday afternoon. If the slots get full, keep checking. We sometimes add more during the week if more vaccine supply arrived than we were expecting or if people cancel slots.
