Weekend of March 12th. Their website says that they are closed until at least March 8th. Will it go ahead?

I would suggest a) highly unlikely and b) no one will be able to answer conclusively.

InterfectoremVulpes · 16/02/2021 11:38

Yes, it will

InterfectoremVulpes · 16/02/2021 11:38

No, it won't

CagneyNYPD · 16/02/2021 11:39

Very unlikely, I would have thought. What is the cancellation policy? It is probably best to wait until CP make the decision.

Toilenstripes · 16/02/2021 11:40

Why would you do that? There’s still so many unknowns.

manicinsomniac · 16/02/2021 11:40

I would very much doubt it, sorry.

But you never know, I guess.

Mirrorxx · 16/02/2021 11:41

We Habe a forest holiday booked for 8th March and I’m sure it won’t happen. They still won’t let me change the dates though

poppy1973 · 16/02/2021 11:41

No, it will probably be Easter time. They will have only just got the primary schools back by then.

DigitalGhost · 16/02/2021 11:42

I'm booked for March 22nd and I don't even think that's going to happen 😫

Rosehip10 · 16/02/2021 11:43

No

edwinbear · 16/02/2021 11:57

No, from what's (currently) being reported, families being able to travel for self catering holidays will be May at the earliest.

LittleRen · 16/02/2021 12:00

No!! They want to give schools going back a few weeks before they open anything else.

MrsR87 · 16/02/2021 12:02

No one can say for sure but I think it’s highly unlikely. I think anyone who is booking holidays for this yearneeds to do so with the mindset that I’d it actually happens at the time they booked it for, it’s a bonus!

Eccle80 · 16/02/2021 12:03

Very unlikely, I think early may is the soonest going away is looking like any kind of possibility

LucilleTheVampireBat · 16/02/2021 12:03

Doubt it. We've got a break booked for March but don't think it will go ahead. Will have to just move it. Hopeful for our April break and confident about the May one.

rainbowunicorn · 16/02/2021 12:06

It is highly unlikely that they will be significantly easing restrictions by then. If anything schools may be back in some form but I highly doubkt they will open up hospitality a few days later.

Tankflybosswalkjam · 16/02/2021 12:10
Sad

For disclosure I booked this 18 months ago when all we had to worry about was Brexit.

bluechameleon · 16/02/2021 12:17

I got an email this morning about our 29th March break, saying they hoped it would go ahead but giving the option to cancel or change dates. I wouldn't want to go even if it was open, it just doesn't seem like a good idea. We cancelled because it is so hard to judge when it will seem sensible to go. This break was originally booked for last June Sad

SellFridges · 16/02/2021 12:22

I don’t think they’ll allow holidays until May, probably in time for half term. Which I think feels about right.

Eccle80 · 16/02/2021 12:32

@Tankflybosswalkjam really sorry not to be more optimistic, it is all rubbish

EatingAllThePies · 16/02/2021 12:38

We were booked in CP for Easter but will be cancelling. Even if it's open I think we won't get to do all the activities we want and we are sharing with grandparents which I suspect will still be outside the rules. Given the uncertainty we're cancelling rather than trying to rearrange.

Bobbybobbins · 16/02/2021 13:07

The govt have said they will send schools back first then give it a couple/few weeks before anything else opens so I would say it'll be April earliest before holidays are allowed. Probably more like May. They have said coming out of this lockdown must be irreversible especially with schools so likely to err on the side of caution for holidays etc.

RedskyBynight · 16/02/2021 13:10

Unlikely. You'll need an awful lot of different restrictions to be lifted before a Centerparcs holiday becomes legal. Just can't see that happening in the space of a week.

unchienandalusia · 16/02/2021 13:20

I think not. But then I don't know. Nor does anyone else on here. I do wonder at these constant posts asking will this be allowed. Will that be allowed. NO-ONE KNOWS YET!!

So a bunch of people who do t know and are just guessing say yes yes it will be fine and you get your hopes up only for it to be closed.

Or they say no way. Then what? I don't understand what you get out of asking?

Crabwoman · 16/02/2021 14:03

Unlikely. But even if it is open activities/facilities will be very restricted. I think centre parcs had a strict time limit on using the pools over the summer? So that will probably still be in place. The restaurants might not be fully open by then either.

Are they giving you an option to move it?
