BJ's elbow bumps

Wouldn't it be better if he kept his distance from others? Why does he feel the need to elbow bump people and not maintain his 2 metre distance? Other MPs have been doing this as well for ages, it's really annoying - there's a more transmissible virus going round, yet they're throwing caution to the wind and hoping their flimsy face masks are like some sort of forcefield stopping any virus particles spreading.

It's sending conflicting messages to the public. It's not necessary. I don't know why the public health bods aren't advising him to stop it!

[Or perhaps they are and he's just being stubborn about it]

Am so glad it isn't just me who gets so annoyed by this!

I'd love it if he approached someone, elbow first, and they just stood there staring at him. Or turned and ran.

Not sure why the media or public health bods like Whitty or JVT aren't picking him up on this? It's hypocrisy/double standards ...

@ClashCityRocker

Yes, I thought we were sneezing into our elbows now.

So elbow bumps seem a fantastically stupid idea.

I'm disappointed the bow hasn't caught on in the UK.

But it's only a problem if the virus particles get into your eyes/nose/mouth. It doesnt matter if someone else's germs get on your elbow because they're not going to make their way from there to your face. Germs on your hands get to your face very quickly.
