A year ago I was tottering around in heels & wearing different dresses/skirt combinations and felt glamorous on the school run & at work - in fact it was the only thing I enjoyed about my job at one point 😂

Fast forward a year and I am now wondering if I am actually capable of wearing heels or even a skirt?!! 😂

duckme · 11/02/2021 21:38

Alternate between the two work outfits, that I can still force my fat ass into, on the two days I venture into the office each week. After those days I alternate between leggings and joggers. One pair of my joggers are oversized and are so comfy but I do worry they could be the start of a very slippery slope!
I have loads of jeans but I don't think I need that negativity in my life right now!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 11/02/2021 21:58

Leggings, long jumper and hiking boots for me. I can't imagine squishing my feet into anything else now.

spaceghetto · 11/02/2021 22:52

My teeth have more fur than my winter leggings.

ZenNudist · 11/02/2021 23:05

Leggings or thick black tights. Jersey dresses (old but look ok on zoom) cashmere cardis. Usually add a pair of bed socks. Lipstick if I want to look less dead.

Weekend: thermals, 2 pair of leggings, fleece, thick warm socks, walking boots snow boots or wellies all weather fleece lined coat. Hat scarf gloves.

Shopaholic100 · 12/02/2021 00:41

I only wear dresses which don’t need ironing😀.

Anyone else no longer able to wear uncomfortable clothing e.g underwired bras, fitted clothes (no room for expansion)?

Submariner · 12/02/2021 06:04

I make a point of getting dressed every morning...

And then sticking my dressing gown and slippers on over the top immediately. Grin

The marker of lockdown for me has been that I broke the zip on my lovely knee high boots last March. I've gone everywhere in this ugly pair of walking shoes for a year that go with nothing. I've just got round to ordering a new pair of nice boots, which are going to revolutionise. my. life.

Hm2020 · 12/02/2021 06:12

Jeggings/leggings sweatshirt scarf indoors because even with heating it’s freezing and puffa jacket

OpheliasCrayon · 12/02/2021 06:18

Im an SEN teacher so I'm still working in school. I work part time though and when I'm at home I'm leggings / joggers and tshirts.
When I go to work though I've taken to wearing all my really nice dresses - like long maxi dresses and all sorts of fancy (and very impractical but I make it work) things -- just because I'm so fed up of never having anywhere to wear them!!! I could just wear leggings/ jeans/ joggers / tshirt / hoody at work if I wanted, ans I used to, but I seem to have gone the other way... Wont lie I'm loving it and will continue after lockdowns !

aramox · 12/02/2021 06:33

Remember those 'school run dress' threadsGrin

CarlottaValdez · 12/02/2021 06:40

I have to look presentable on zoom, so it’s thermal leggings, socks, slippers and a blanket over my knees then a stretchy dress and cosy cardigan on top half. No dresses with any structure though.

Bananablondie · 12/02/2021 06:51

Joggers, old maternity bra (no wires), one of four long-sleeve T-shirts, (now full of holes), beaten up slippers, man’s jumper. Two pairs of socks and wellies for outdoors.

When this is over I’m having a ritual bonfire.

I am breastfeeding and found a comfy dress for it which I wear with leggings. It was so comfy I bought 5 of them in different colours and just switch colour each day. If I do venture outside a hat is obligatory to hide the 3 inches of hair regrowth.

InterfectoremVulpes · 12/02/2021 08:45

@carlywurly

And I've bought non under wired bras.. bliss Smile
Oh yes, im a convert to the non-wired 50s style giant bras now 😍
Scarby9 · 12/02/2021 08:46

Jeans ( I know! Controversial , but somehow feel better in winter. I didn't move from an elasticated waistband between March and October), inner bamboo socks, outer chunky wool socks, furry booty slippers.
Top half, long vest, slim poloneck jumper, some kind of reasonable top (for Zoom work) plus locket to look like I have bothered. Choice of three large woolly jumpers on top between meetings.
Add hot water bottle as accessory. It's cold in my house if you are sitting still.

Chimeraforce · 12/02/2021 08:51

This week its been 3 days of fleece leggings, black long sleeved top with checked huge lumberjack shirt.long puffa coat crazy colours bobble hat, snood and trainers.
1 day of pyjamas
Today, who knows, the day is young.
My partner must be concerned, he ordered some tops for me online 😂😂
I wfh, he woh.

NoGoodPunsLeft · 12/02/2021 08:57

I have some joggers which are fleecy inside and quite snug so very cosy. My new boot slippers are much warmer than my old ones for WFH, I'll be so sad to go back to tights/dresses/actual shoes when I'm back in the office.

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 12/02/2021 09:03

Alpaca socks here, and definite convert to softer bras.
I have a huge oversize leisure wear fleece that gets worn over everything at the moment.
Jeans. joggers or pyjama bottoms.

I went out for a walk yesterday and dug out a jacket that is usually too hot to wear. It has a hood with fake fur around.
I'd completely forgotten that it frightens my cat - three year gap since last worn, same result Smile.
I think she must think I'm a lion with a huge mane.

teta · 12/02/2021 10:01

Joggers, Old Brora thermals, Cashmere jumper, Sloggi Zero Feel bra & Parka London coat with massive furry hood when out. Plus Cos slightly smarter elastic waist trews. At home a selection of ancient fleecy dressing gowns. If lucky with PJ's.

All teenagers wearing PJ's on their bottom half for school team calls & properly dressed on top half. Ds2 has been known to take the dog for a walk in his PJ's.
ColinKnocksTwoPence · 12/02/2021 10:11

Jeans or cargo trousers (can't wear leggings as I would be lost without pockets)
Thermal vest
Long sleeve striped T-shirt
Fleece
Thick socks
Crocs indoors and walking boots outdoors.
Plenty of dog hair.
Repeat ad nauseum.

Sadly can't get away without a bra but must think about going non-wired!

alliejay81 · 12/02/2021 10:23

Hush joggers. Hush tshirt. Hush jumper.

I kid myself by dressing top to toe Hush I look like I'm making an effort. I probably would look exactly the same if I bought it all from Asda though Confused.

I have a couple of dresses which I occasionally wear with tights to feel glam!

Think I threw out all my jeans in May! Still seeming like a good decision!!!

IveMadeAHugeMistake · 12/02/2021 10:28

Black or patterned leggings (Mini Boden cos they're cotton rather than viscose, and I like the floral ones)

Mini Boden pointelle tops

Donegal wool coatigans or flecked funnel neck wool jumpers, both Celtic & Co - obsessed with these 🥰

Sheepskin slipper boots

Mini Boden cotton bralets / crop tops, as I don't like going braless - small boobs so don't need support, but hate the feeling of them flopping around

Reading that back, Mini Boden is obvs my secret for comfy, cheap (compared to adult clothing prices) basics - if you're size 12 or smaller, it'll fit 🙂

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 12/02/2021 10:31

Tracksuit bottoms, bed socks, very comfy bra with no wires but only because I'm in my 60's and need the support, oodie, only to be exchanged with a tracksuit top if I am going out.
But....I always do my hair nicely and put makeup on just to keep some vague semblance of self respect.
