How soon did test and trace contact you to self isolate?

If you were in contact with someone who tested positive, did test and trace contact you quickly?

Had contact with 2 separate sets of people mid December (due to work, not rule breaking!) who subsequently tested positive. Still waiting to be contacted by test and trace 🤷‍♀️

Seems to be a hit and a miss?

Less than 24 hours, and got phone calls every 48 hours for the first 10 after testing positive

My parents received the text message the same day that I tested positive, depends when the person fills in the details or passes them over I suppose, my parents got text messages as did DH

Took track and trace 9 days to contact me! Was fine because it was my husband and so we were isolated anyway but was hardly a speedy service!

Got an alert today to say I have to isolate for 7 days. Since u we they calculate the isolation period as 10 days after the day of contact, that means I came into contact with someone on Thursday. That's the only day I went anywhere last week - to the dentist. Drove there and back.

I understand that they contact people that the person with Covid saw within the last 48 hours. Assuming my dentist didn't know he had Covid when he saw me, he must have tested positive on Friday or Saturday. Which means my notification took 2-3 days to come through.

The app will only notify you that you have been in contact with a positive case, when that positive case enters their result on the app and the app detects that you were close to them during there incubation/isolation period - you will not get a phone call from t&t in this situation it is all anonymous. If the positive person actually names you when t&t contact them you should receive notification by text almost immediately- however it relies on people actually naming their contacts and providing the correct contact number. So if positive person does not enter result on app - no notification If positive person does not name you as a contact to t&t - no text/call.

Your app notification will come through if you have been in contact with a positive case after they have entered their own results in the app.

A text within 15 minutes from when the person with Covid filled out the online form

When I tested positive on 30 Jan I had to fill my test and trace form in with details of those I have had close contact with. My husband and daughter who I see daily both had almost immediate messages to say they had been logged onto the test and trace. It made me think that its down to the individual to input names of people they think may have been exposed. They give a list of scenarios and then you name the people under the scenario. Maybe you weren't logged on their test and trace forms. I found it to be a good system. Had messages most days and a couple of phone calls x

I was notified after nine days, received a phone call at day 10 which was the end of my self isolation period.
Luckily hadn’t been out very much or seen anyone outside my immediate family, not sure how robust system is tbh given my experience. Hope this isn’t the norm.

The only time I got contacted by them, I was told I needed to isolate for 2 days. I assume they got a late result from someone, or the person tested very late or something.
