Hi, my dad is 70 and is still waiting for a letter to call him for his vaccine. Is anyone else in that age group still waiting? His next door neighbour who is same age has had their letter and a few others he knows. It's making us all a bit anxious that he's been missed

I'm in the CEV category and I've had a phone call to give me my appointment. No letter. Could he have missed a call?
Give the Drs a ring on Monday to make sure.

My grandmother, also South Wales, only had her first vaccine 10 days ago and she is 94.

My mother is 78 and not been contacted yet (South Wales.)

Thanks! He suffers with anxiety and I'm worried he's going to get himself in a state over it. I've told him if he hasn't had a letter by middle of next week to ring his gp

My mum is 73 and heard Thurs that she is going on Mon. Perhaps they are working downwards? I'd ring Monday for sure.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is asking people in vaccine priority groups 1 to 3 to get in touch as soon as possible if they have not yet received a COVID-19 vaccine appointment.

Who to contact:
Priority group 1 - older adult care home staff – please contact 0300 303 4802* or email your name, job title and organisation, mobile phone number and nearest mass vaccination centre to [email protected]

Priority group 2 – frontline health and social care staff (including agency) – please contact 0300 303 4802* or email your name, job title and organisation, mobile phone number and nearest mass vaccination centre to [email protected]

Priority group 2 – people aged 80 and over – please contact your GP practice directly.

Priority group 3 – people aged 75 to 79 – please phone 0300 303 4802* or email [email protected]

Health services are being inundated with calls, emails and social media messages from the public enquiring about the vaccine. If you are not in one of the priority groups listed above please do not contact the health board or your GP regarding the vaccine at this time.

Steve Moore, Chief Executive of Hywel Dda UHB, said: “We are confident that everyone in priority groups 1 to 4 will be offered a vaccine by Monday 15 February thanks to the amazing efforts of vaccinating teams across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.

“However, people change phone numbers or move to a new house and may not always update their contact details with health services. This is why we want to make absolutely sure no one has missed an appointment for their vaccination.”

*Phonelines are open Monday to Friday between 9am to 5pm, Saturday 6 February only between 10am to 4pm, and Sunday 7 February only between 10am to 3pm.

I saw the above on Facebook.

Not sure where in South Wales he is but in Cardiff all 70-74 are being done at mass vaccination centres not gps. They might be working down in age.
