When can I expect my home test results ?

I received the kit on Wednesday and put it in the post box at 3pm the same day (Wednesday 3rd). It says it can take up to 72hrs but when is that from? The day I send it back ? How long did everyone else wait for the results ? Tia

I posted mine on Monday 1st and still havent heard anything have been waiting so been waiting about 80 hours since it was delivered. Hoping I get it today but not feeling hopeful now.

Remember to register the test kit online - I forgot to do this and I was waiting ages for my result. Then suddenly twigged, once I registered the kit the result came to me within hours.

I put mine in the postbox at 4:30pm last Monday, post collected at 5pm.
Got results Tuesday at 6pm.

Both negative. Me and dd. Which was good because as I went to post them she cheerfully asked if I was certain I'd registered the tests the right way round, so of course as soon as she said that I wasn't.
We'd agreed that if either of us came back positive we would both behave as though positive.

I registered mine and then I phoned yesterday and they confirmed it had been registered and that they couldn't chase results until day 6, I've now been off work all week (am a key worker) and still waiting for results...almost 96 hours now

Hmm. I'm facing a similar wait, although I went to a drive through centre for my test. Had it done Monday at 11am. My sis has one at 3 pm same day, at same centre. She got her results by text at 9.15 on Tuesday, yet I Am waiting for mine!
Phoned the helpline twice and they said the test had been received but they have no further info and they can't chase anything until day 6! I was due my first covid vaccine on Wednesday which I had to postpone until Saturday - assuming I'd definitely have the results by then, but I've had to cancel again ! So frustrating that no-one an confirm the position.

...and still no results! I think it's safe to say they've lost them - was told on Sudsy that they'd be in touch within (another!) 3 days IF they trace them. If I'm NOT contacted they haven't found them. What a bizarre way to handle it!

I have a weekly test- sometimes I get the results less than 48 hrs later and other times 7 days later. I was sure mine had been lost after waiting almost a week but they arrived without me making contact. Hope you're ok

Mine hadn't been registered properly (registered over the phone)

Phone with your barcode number on day 4 of waiting if you haven't had your results.

My DS's took just under 48 hours.

I think he said his text came through in the early hours of the morning.

Posted 4.30pm Monday, arrived at lab at 7.30pm Monday, results 6pm Tuesday.

I didn't receive my results either... am now over my 10 days isolation.

Posted on a Tuesday. Got a positive result late on the Friday evening.

I've done 2. The last one I posted on a Sunday and got the results back the next day, less than 24 hours from posting. The time before I posted it on a Tuesday and got the results on Friday.

Never received mine. Phoned several times to chase them up but no luck. No idea if I had it or not!
