Unpaid carer vaccine

I am an unpaid carer for my 14 year old ds who is being assessed for autism and has severe anxiety. I heard that unpaid carers are in group 6, how do I find out if I am in that group?

Phone your doctors surgery. I was also told that as an unpaid carer I would be category 6.

You have to register as the carer with your GP, even if you receive carers allowance you won’t be automatically registered until you contact the GP.

Register with your gp... my partner was asked of proof of being a carer...he sent an email copy of my shielding email from Matt Hancock

They will call those coded as carers on GP records so you need to make sure your GP has you registered. There should be an option on the GO website.

Email your GP to flag your unpaid carer status. My DH did and got his jab five days later! I'm still waiting for mine but he's older than me
