Sorry to hear you've felt so poorly. Do you normally suffer with heartburn? Sorry, no Covid experience but I find I tend to get heartburn attacks with bad colds so perhaps there is a link to respiratory viruses?

fannyFERNACKERPANN · 30/01/2021 21:09

How did you feel day 1-8? I think I read yesterday it peaks around day 9-11 so hopefully you're over the worst of it

Literallyfedup · 30/01/2021 21:14

I had a reflux when I had covid probably by resting too much or the pain killers or may be just a symptom of covid. It got really bad even when covid was gone and I was no longer tired. My GP prescribed omeprazole for a month and I finally got rid of it. I still get it now and then.

Mummytoallgirls · 30/01/2021 21:14

Hi, I'm a GP. Loads of patients have had reflux with Covid. You can buy something over the counter like Nexium or contact your GP to discuss. Gaviscon will also help a bit.

This site is really good: www.yourcovidrecovery.nhs.uk/

Mummytoallgirls · 30/01/2021 21:23

I felt better on day 14th then on day 16 I started getting tired again. From day 19 - I think I progressed quite well. I also started drinking lucozade sport on day 17 which helped a lot with dizziness and tiredness.

Mummytoallgirls · 30/01/2021 21:31

hope i start feeling better soon and able to get out of bed and do stuff around the house and with the kids makes you feel so bad laying here,i will try some lucozade i'm so dizzy when i stand up feel like i have abit of vertigo tbh even lying down i feel it!gosh covid has gave me everything!looks like it's going to take a while for everything to settle down 😞

Sorry you’re feeling so bad, op, it’s awful but sounds like you’re coming out of the worst and will be ok 🙏

Not trying to hijack, I’m sorry, but @ExpulsoCorona any views/info on long covid? 10 months here for me

Wildernesstips · 30/01/2021 22:18

Sorry you are feeling so bad. I had it quite mildly but definitely had a weird gastro thing towards the end where I was massively bloated and windy. I felt it was impacting my chest too. It took about 4-5 days to go and I didn’t take anything other than mint tea.

Mummytoallgirls · 30/01/2021 22:37

Thank you for the replys means a lot, sounds like the gastro thing is common hopefully means i'm at the end of it and just have to wait it all out!it's how it effects the chest that's scary as you don't no if it's your lungs or acid reflux🤦‍♀️before i got covid i had just got over a sinus infection so iv been unwell since december now so i'm at breaking point!
will keep you posted and do a daily update x
