Upset stomach sign on covid?

Had a very upset stomach last night, manages to make it through the night but the nausea and toilet troubles started again first thing in the morning and carried on throughout today.

A few friends mentioned they had this before testing positive.

Is this a common symptom of the new strain?

Yes sickness and diarrhoea are quite common symptoms of Coronavirus. Usually it is in conjunction with other symptoms like a headache, cough, sore throat etc.

@Lindy2 thanks for your reply. I had an awful headache a few days ago but put this down to a side effect of getting my first vaccine dose, I'm aware it's a common side effect.

Yes definitely.

And I had this with the old strain.
