When will hairdressers be re-opening?

They said schools were a priority and they are aiming for 8th March, but that isn’t certain at the moment, so I’m guessing some time during the spring? I’d really like them to open too but I don’t think they will be the first to open sadly.

mootymoo · 29/01/2021 12:27

I know what you mean, except it's the nail bar for me. They actually are lower risk than schools too - having seen the kids in large groups (4-6) in shops yesterday after school they are not even pretending to socially distance and the shops here are serving them.

Honeydukesmum · 29/01/2021 14:02

I suddenly realised I may not get a haircut before ceserean in May 😖 it was nice last time to freshen up before new baby makes these things tricky plus the few pics I had of me at birth it was nice to look neat . but small thing really so I’ll embrace the hair toggles 😆

( saying that I’d love more to get daughter trimmed as won’t wear up and prefer it neater to help not get nits 🙈) I’m a fringe trimmer wiz now thankfully

lljkk · 29/01/2021 15:34

swimming pool for me, sigh. I'm trying to hope for 1 April. England.

lunapeace · 29/01/2021 15:35

I bet celebrities are getting their hair done this time!

BonnieDundee · 29/01/2021 15:42

I want to know this too Grin

MrsTerryPratchett · 29/01/2021 15:43

Hairdressers were actually a very high risk group. Close for a long time in a place with air whooshing around.

DebbieFiderer · 29/01/2021 15:43

I just want to get my eyebrows threaded!!

Waxonwaxoff0 · 29/01/2021 15:57

Desperate to get my nails done, I usually get them done every 3 weeks.

Yep. One rule for them. Another for us.

Soon I hope, currently sporting an orange blonde after a home dye disaster today.

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 29/01/2021 16:22

My eyebrows are more worried than my split ends at this stage 🥸

Same. I haven't had two consistent appointments in a nearly a year Shock
Help1402 · 29/01/2021 16:41

I want to know if holidays abroad will go ahead in may 😫

Same, but June for me.

I'm doubtful tbh. It's already been pushed back from last June. Probably have to delay it again. Thought we were being safe by giving it a whole year. How naive we were

Yohoheaveho · 29/01/2021 17:16

hopefully March?

Haha same!!!
JovialNickname · 29/01/2021 17:23

Oh I know OP... me too! It was the thing I missed most (unexpectedly!) during the first lockdown and the thing I most want now too. I'm so tired of looking like a pyjama-wearing skank with witchy hair! It just adds insult to injury x

AnxiousAlpaca · 29/01/2021 17:37

Well even in tier 3 gyms and personal care were open so maybe they’ll be among the first to open up again.

Systemagic · 29/01/2021 17:45

Outdoor sports. Specifically (for me) swimming lakes. Must be almost zero risk as we pay in advance, change in the car park, and don't get close to anyone in a great big lake (which is practically empty at this time of year anyway). Really missing my swimming, haven't been in an indoor pool since March either. After first lockdown the lakes opened in mid-May so hoping they will open soon after schools this time.

Sexnotgender · 29/01/2021 17:46

Nurseries for me. I’ve falling apart at the seams trying to work full time and look after a toddler.

HazeyJaneII · 29/01/2021 17:49

Is just like to know if there are any moves to vaccinate medically vulnerable under 12s. Everything else is doable.

Lansonmaid · 29/01/2021 17:56

Glad someone has asked this question! I hate my hair looking out of control and I can’t seem to find the dye that my hairdresser uses to cover up my multitude of grey hairs...it will be the first thing to do when lockdown lifts

MischiefManagedAlways · 29/01/2021 17:59

I'm meant to be getting married on the 24th of June, I can't even being to start planning for it until I know it can go ahead! Sad

EnglishGirlApproximately · 29/01/2021 17:59

I didn't manage to get an appointment before Christmas. I look like Hagrid 😭
