Heard from family there - one 80+ and one CEV relative, neither been called.

They're beginning to be a little concerned

We've had a surge in my village this past week with most people in their 70s and 80s having their jab.
I'm between Ipswich and Bury

At of my parents friends have had theirs. But you have to realise that Suffolk is very rural, with an ageing population. You simply cannot compare it to the London demographic because there’s a lot more old people plus hard to reach.

However saying that, they have had issues with the rollout locally. For example, last week they had to close a site for an afternoon because the vaccine only had a 3 day lifespan not the expected 3.5 day lifespan, so they had to rearrange half a days appointments. But they seem to be getting back on track so I wouldn’t worry personally.

Mmm yes of I realise urban ,high density ,maybe easier transport - though I think many without cars would not want to risk public transport so will rely on taxis, lift from friend etc .So in that respect similar transport issues .

And I'm not sure the travel/distance aspect would mean it takes longer to get through the numbers of over 70's who are not housebound .Wouldn't they just be called in and vaccinated as happens elsewhere ?

Maybe there is a higher% of housebound with no one to help with transport and this is delaying everything ?
