Attitudes to vaccine after infection

DH had his first jab in late December, turns out he was already infected from his care home job. I tested positive a couple of days later.

Until that point, I had been avidly watching the rollout, desperately speculating when my turn would come (I’m CV, group 6). Now, I’m just completely relaxed about it. I will still have it when offered, but I now see it as a top-up to what is very probably already a high degree of immunity. So, no personal urgency.

DH, on the other hand, was very annoyed when his 2nd appointment was cancelled (even though he couldn’t have had the jab anyway within 4 weeks of a positive test), has been worrying that they haven’t sent him a new appointment and wondered today whether he will actually get it at all.

I just find the difference in response really interesting, that’s all.
