Negative test last Wednesday- feel awful today

Zoe app suggested I test last week as I was a it coldy. Tested Wednesday and on Thursday the result was negative.

I haven't felt any better but today I've had a really runny nose and a bit of a chesty cough has just started. Tbf I always have a cough anyway but this is different and I'm wheezing very slightly,

I've not been anywhere since I had the last test except to my mum as we are her bubble and she's not been anywhere either. Is it possible the last test missed it or it was the wrong time?
Should I book another test for tomorrow ?

My dd tested negative and then a few days later felt really grotty, had another test and it was positive.

In your shoes I'd definitely book another test, hope you're ok op

My DP tested positive on Saturday, was already self isolating as someone he works with tested positive but we were in same bed as we don't have a spare room. Sunday afternoon I started to feel really tired, headachy and got a funny sensation in my nose plus a metallic taste in my mouth. Got a postal test which came yesterday. Results are negative! Since then I started with a really tight chest, occasional dry cough and still feeling completely wiped out! Headache is not going either. I also wonder if I tested too early or didn't swab correctly. I get really anxious doing these things.
I hope you're ok OP, maybe test again? I am just going to continue self isolating for now and see how it goes. I WFH but not be last 2 days as feel completely drained :(

I would test again and certainly don’t mix with anyone just incase (even if I had a bad cold I would probably stay home). There are false negatives and false positives.

@BrienneIsMyHero. If you didn’t swab properly result would have come back inconclusive and ask you to test again.

I would retest.
