Anyone got Scottish elderly relatives who've been vaccinated?

I've seen some reports that Scotland are lagging behind. And others that say it's because Scotland are doing all care home residents first (which is good obvs). I really want them to get to the 70+ group in Scotland as that's the bracket my loved ones are in. Anyone got any anecdotes to cheer me up about people they know in Scotland who've been vaccinated? Especially in the Borders.

Yes we do seem slow with over 80. I think over 70 letters to arrive this week so can update you when relatives get those.

Health care workers seem to be going fast. Sister done and she is health care but not front line I wouldn't say. I was in hospital today and nurses were all done weeks ago.

Sister was told on the Friday her work were receiving it and was done on Tuesday.

Both my mum and mil had theirs last week - 82 and 90. In different NHS trust areas of Scotland.
My friends fil had his, and so has her mum. Her mil is going next week.
So now that I think about it, most of the elderly people in my life have had their vaccination, or an appointment to get one.
One of my other friends is an ICU nurse, she had hers before Christmas.

Not sure about my nurse friend, but all the oldies had the AstraZenica vaccine, and no one feels they had any reaction, other than friends fil having a bit of a sore arm for a day or two.
It’s cheered me immensely to realise that they’re all sorted.
All living at home and independent, not care home residents.

My dad is in his 80s and had his about a week ago and my mum in her 70s was told to expect it this coming week but it would assume that the practice have received their allocation of vaccine.

Fil in 80s nothing, mil, father, ail and uil all late 70s nothing yet will see what next week brings. Some rather dubious groups getting before vulnerable, but it was never going to be transparent or fair all the time.

My gran who is 90 this week also has her appointment this week, we are in the west of Scotland.
A friend who works in a residential children's home is getting the vaccine this week as well with the rest of the staff.

My gran (85) was vaccinated last week in Edinburgh. Only the over 80s are being done by GPs here (not sure if that's the same everywhere) and the 70-79 would be getting a letter (blue envelope) from this week for an appointment at a vaccination centre.

All in the borders, mum (85) got hers last week, dad (82) gets his this week, MIL and FIL (late 70s) have been told by GP they’ll be before mid Feb (so within next 3 weeks).

It won’t be long OP Flowers
