evening all it's my first ever post
i'm on day 5 of postive covid and i'm feeling wiped out, symtoms so far have been gastric upset bloating, headache and feeling very tierd and dizzy but my cough has got worse but not continuously,i'm worried as my chest feels abit tight and hurts round the front and back, not sure if the gastric pains are making it worse,i'm reading so many different things how it gets worse on certain days etc.
day 5 and feeling like this so do i need to prepare for worse?
thanks

Hi

Easier said than done, I know, but TRY not to panic as that really won't help. Your Doctor is looking out for you and your DH is there if you need any help.

You WILL make it through this.

Drink as much as you can & try to watch something that'll distract you xx

TryingNotToPanicOverCovid · 27/01/2021 13:57

So sorry mummytogirls. I hope you feel better soon .

girlofthenorth · 28/01/2021 00:02

It is scary but you can get through this . Keeping drinking water and lie on your front if your chest is tight and lots of Epsom salt baths and inhalation's . Hopefully you'll be through the worst in the next day or two . Don't watch the news or anything scary and distract yourself as much as possible .

Frazzled2207 · 28/01/2021 08:44

Thinking of you all and hope you feel better very soon. I bet it will be a massive relief when you feel you’re over the worst.

Morning all
thank you for the kind comments
lasnyt night was my scariest night but my sats all normal so that was reassuring..
iv woke up without a fever but my breathing still feels tight which they say can last a while but i managed to walk to toilet alone and it made me really breathless back in bed now trying to get comfy,
still achey and tieed
day 10/hoping i'm over the worst and today isn't another bad day
coughing more frequent due to pressure on stomach chest but it's a dry cough
hope everyone is well x

Sorry to hear you had a bad night ! You can always ask the GP for more advice esp if chest is tight . Some people get an inhaler to help . Also remember that coughing a lot can make your ribs really hurt . I hope today is a better day .

Mummytoallgirls · 28/01/2021 10:58

yes my gp has sent over a blue inhaler to the chemist hubby is out of isolation today so he has gone to pick it up but i think i just have to ride it out now nothing else they can do,hopefully another day or 2 and i'm out of the worst,i did hear week 2 is scary and week 3 you see improvement i hope so!

Flowers The inhaler and antacids will make things more comfortable.
You're a strong woman and you are nearly through this!

Mummytoallgirls · 28/01/2021 15:06
