Schooling at home laptop help - any recommendations?

Our laptop is ancient and I may resort to throwing it out of a window.

I’m thinking of getting a new one. Don’t want to spend loads. Any to avoid? Any that are reliably good?

Am totally naive - anything I need to make sure it has?

Web cam for class meets I know.
Primary age but want it to last.
Thank you in advance. Smile

I always buy refurbished ones from amazon renewed. You get a lot better quality for the amount of money you have to spend. They have a one year guarantee and don’t give any hassle for a complete refund in this period. I’ve had good experiences with their Lenovo’s. I go for an i5 Professor, 8gb memory, 256 ssd, Windows 10 and the screen size of your choice. At 300 - 400 quid, it will play games like roblox and run pretty much anything your average home user will throw at it.

Check what platforms the school are using first.
