Didn't complete track and trace for daughter

DS (2.5) tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday. I had a call from track and trace the same day and gave them full details of where we'd been, who we'd been in contact with etc.

DD (5 months) and I have tested positive today. We've been isolating as a household since DS developed his cough on Monday. When t&t called today, I therefore asked if there was any need as the details were the same as for DS. I was told that they 'couldn't make that decision for me', but they would make a note that they had all lf the details for DS.

I'm now fretting that I'm going to get in trouble somehow. The only people we've been inside with are my mum and brothers, as we're bubbled with their household, and we obiviously haven't seen them since Sunday. It seemed a bit pointless to go through all of the same info when DD, DS and I go everywhere together. What do you think?

I don't think 'get in trouble' is likely.
It's a crap system that you are participating in. They'll have other stuff to worry about

If you definitely haven’t been anywhere then I think it’s fine. They’d be contacting the same people twice presumably.

If you have the app it would be helpful to update it in case of catching any delivery drivers etc. who you wouldn’t normally give the details of to T&T to anyway not that they should have been in contact with you for long enough.

I've had to go through it 7 times, and had endless texts and emails on behalf of each of the children etc. I just did it otherwise they just kept calling.

I completed track and trace for me, when I tested positive recently. Subsequently, my DH and 3DC all caught the virus but we didn’t contact track and trace again. We just made sure we followed the isolation rules correctly for all household members. As everyone had been isolating since I tested positive, there was no-one else we need to contact to inform them that the rest of the household was Covid positive.
I was called about 10 times by track and trace so I’m pleased that I didn’t inform them about the others as it would have resulted in endless phone calls.

I didn't contact them they automatically contacted me using the contact details provided when booking the test.
