I’m not wrong here, right?

DH and our housemate work with a man. He has been in work all week including today with a wife who has tested positive, and he has tested positive today. It’s a small place and everyone there has been in ‘close contact’ with him.

They have not sent anyone home and are carrying on as normal, they are breaking the law right?! What can I do about this? Report it to HSE?

They should discipline the bloke whose wife was positive for endangering his colleagues. What an arsehole.

Could be totally wrong here but almost the exact same thing happened at my step-dads work and nobody cared. They weren't being paid to sit at home, so they continued to go to work as long as they felt well enough.

I believe this sort of thing is happening all over the country.

The first thing the gov should have done was increase sick pay to reasonable amounts, then you would at least curb some of this stuff from happening.

Obviously different if the company offers full sick pay, but many don't. The companies that don't (and the gov?) need to take some responsibility.

This is where it's spreading. Workplaces where people can't afford to stay home, and not socially distanced Click & Collect as Nicola Sturgeon would like to believe or two people meeting in a park for a takeaway coffee and a socially distanced walk!
