Am I being unreasonable to expect to be told which bubble has covid in nursery?

Email came out late afternoon to say my dcs nursery has confirmed covid. Very vague email saying those affected have been informed.
Picked dc up early evening and none of the staff in his room were to be seen. Big windows and doors and very open plan. Instead the manager and some staff I didnt recognise were there. I asked which bubble was affected and was told "we cant tell you".
To me it seems that it may be my dcs bubble? He goes 4 days a week, is it unreasonable for me to expect to be told that there's been covid confirmed in his room - especially if his key worker is now isolating. I would get told if she was going on annual leave.

Not sure how it works. Not asking for names of who has it, would just be nice to know.

Surely you only need to know if it’s your DC’s or not?

They don't in schools. Only the ones who need to know.

I don't think that's universal - at DCs school when a bubble has burst we've been told which class has been affected and whether the case was staff or pupil.

...it sounds like they told you that they would tell everyone in the bubble? You can call them to confirm that they mean you’re not it, but makes sense they won’t tell you who has it.

You will know if you need to know.
As a staff member I am not told the name of any child testing positive- I would be able to work it out but I won’t be told. Another bubble has just burst at work- in the room next to mine but I don’t know if it’s staff or child. I’m not allowed to ask either.

We got an email at the weekend to say confirmed covid in nursery, and it is my DS's bubble so he has to self isolate. Doesn't say whether it's a child or staff though.

My DS is fine, we took him for a test because he developed a cough the next day but he's come back as negative and in typical toddler style the cough has now disappeared!

We've had an email previously to say there was a case in the nursery but not in his bubble, so they would hopefully let you know if this wasn't the case.

We've been told which room and whether it was a staff member or child (regardless of whether it's the room our child is in)
