Just wanted to share a positive experience with schools and COVID which has really made me feel better mentally.

He goes to a state comp in a not so great area where school was only recently in special measures so my expectations weren’t high, however...

As well as providing online provision which I know probably all schools are doing now, my sons TA phones me every week to check we are all ok and not to stress or worry if we’re not managing to do as much learning online.

HT and senior management have just launched a virtual surgery where parents can let off steam or chat about any struggles they are having with online learning.

This morning I received a hand written card in the post from my child’s head of year telling him how proud she was with how much he was trying on Google classrooms and how she was missing him.

Brought a tear to my eye - what lovely teachers he has and how lucky we are he goes to such a lovely school ☺️

Thank you teachers xx

That's brilliant! I'm pretty impressed with our primary school provision too. It's not all doom and gloom.
