Another vaccine going into production for the UK

French drugs firm Valneva is apparently "days away" from starting to make our 4th vaccine.
This one is made with inactive covid.

Good news, let's hope it gets accepted.

How does this compare with Pfeizer and Moderna and Oxford for protection?

I don't think they have finished their trials yet but because the method they have used is the tried and tested one, the government are hedging their bets that it will be a good result.

I think it only went into phase II trials in December, so it will be a while before it's approved. It's good they're ramping up production in advance though so doses will be ready to go when it is.
