Anyone else completely fed up now!?
I know people are dying and we're lucky to be safe, but mentally I am taking a beating now.
Every day is the same we get up we homeschool we have a break/ lunch go for a walk/ bike ride , come home, kids play , I tidy , tea baths bed!
The weekends come round but there is nothing to do! My kids have gorgeous new clothes still hanging in their wardrobes because we've not been anywhere worth dressing up for, it's snowing everywhere is shut it's getting me down now 😭
Any ideas how to have fun in lockdown would be appreciated because I'm heading for a dark place I can feel it!

Could have written this - completely with you! It’s really tough isn’t it.

The thing helping me a bit is trying to put in a bit of structure and something to look forward to each afternoon - a walk; a favourite board game; a phone call to a grandparent; a film afternoon with popcorn/hot chocolate; a zoom sport or quiz session.

I’m trying to avoid that dark place by trying to carve bits of time out for myself every few days - a bubble bath; TV programme; morning lie in. It’s really tough though.

Get loads of duvets and pillows in the living room and let them make a den.

How old are they?

Deffo a Film Afternoon on a Sat or Sun. All cosy on the sofa, popcorn, snacks, you name it. And a great film they haven't watched yet.

Put on the nice clothes this afternoon and have an indoor picnic or special dinner maybe?

Completely agree. I take my hat off to anyone home schooling at the moment, you all deserve a bloody medal.

I'm coping by mentally just taking things one day at a time...at the end of each day and the end of each week I'm ticking it off. Not thinking about the future at all. It seems to be helping me.

I have a 90-110 hour working week both out of and at home to fit into that, so don’t even get the lunchtimes, bike rides or weekends to enjoy.
