A question. Would a child with allergies be more at risk?

I desperately need to go shopping. Was going when dh got home but he has now got to work late.
Some bits I can't do without till tomorrow.
So wondering if a baby with allergies is more at risk. (dairy, animals and other being tested)
Whether to take baby clip his car seat to the big trolley. Or leave him with our normal person who is our childcare but obviously it's not for work

Wasn't sure if it's classed as weaker immune system

Nope. The coronavirus is not an allergen.

HoppingOnSteppingStones · 14/01/2021 15:09

OK I thought that but someone said about it meaning can have weaker immune system so was confused. Thank you for replying

Is there anyone you can ring to collect stuff for you? What do you need?

HoppingOnSteppingStones · 14/01/2021 16:35

I've just dropped with the person who is our childcare bubble. Pretty much a weeks shop. Would of waited for dh but he now won't get home till probably midnight. And out again 1st thing in the morning.

An allergy isn't a weakened immune system. It's an overly reactive immuno disorder. It's got nothing to do with Coronavirus anyway.

Can you get delivery set up for future?

HoppingOnSteppingStones · 14/01/2021 21:55

Thank you. I thought that was right.

I don't need deliveries, I'd rather those who really need them gets them and round here it's booked for next 3 weeks with all supermarkets I did try even a collect though just in case. it's rare dh has to stay so late so normally I'd go when he gets home and sorted.
But all sorted now and worked well as
got to do my grandmothers bits too she needed to see her through till next week Thank you all for replying

Allergies to eggs, animal hair etc is your body over reacting to an item that is not harmful.

Its not to do with a reduced immune system.

I think I have read that part of the reaction to covid is an over reactive immune system (cytokinine storm) I would be wary until more is known.
