Fucking Peston

Made the mistake of watching the ITV News at 10. On comes Peston taking about Covid and lifting restrictions. He finishes by saying it’ll be “months or years” before things are normal. Someone talk me down because I can’t take much more of this.

Can't stand the man. He's suddenly gone from a journalist to a infectious disease expert during this pandemic. Makes a change from an economic expert which he turned into during brexit I suppose.

@StillDumDeDumming I agree with you and was supporting what you said. If anyone said that about someone anywhere else there would be uproar .

All the journalists are so annoying when they do the press briefings. Too many questions all at once for starters!
I don't mind Robert Peston when his one to one on the studio with the news reader , but during the Downing Street ones I tend to zone out a bit when he comes on.
They seem to all want to outdo each other as well.

Isn't 'months or years' quite a vague statement? He could mean anywhere from 2 months to almost never.

You can't be wrong with a statement like that!
