How long does symptoms take to come out

Hi I was tested positive for covid 19 on Dec 29th.

I actually started having symptoms the day before.

I went to work Christmas Day (work in nhs hospital)

Is it possible I picked it up 25th at work?
If so it took 48hours to come out.
But people are saying I must of caught it before as it take about 5 days to come out!
( going on the people I work with who has had covid)

Has anyone shown symptoms after 48 hours of an exposure?

Its somewhere between 2 and 14 days with the average being 5 days

Could I also add

I had the covid vaccine on Dec 20th

The vaccine doesn't start giving protection for a couple of weeks
