Anyone else fed up of the moaning?

I realise the irony of this post.... but is anyone else just surrounded by moaning about various issues to do with covid?
On the news, tv, Facebook, real life, etc. I do obviously realise that there's not much going on but everyone I come into contact with is whining about unfairness, home schooling, kids lives are ruined, how am I meant to get any work done, the government...I know these are all very valid gripes but complaining about it all the live long day is not going to change anything.
There are many people who are in absolutely dire situations but these people seem to be the most quiet and resilient, just soldiering on.
Called my dad last night for a nice chat and the entire conversation was taken up by how annoyed he was at schools being shut (his youngest child is 39), the doctors (because he can't get an appointment) and how people's liberties have been taken away (his life is no different as he rarely goes anywhere).
Is it just me?

Are you really just pissed off at your dad?

buenavistabelle · 11/01/2021 17:50

No.... but he was the final straw in a long few weeks of simmering annoyance Grin

Yes, I have had a lot of horrible RL stuff happen in recent weeks and it gets a bit much listening to it. BBC is the worst at times.

We've all been there

People should be pissed off at not being able to get GP appointments.

ssd · 11/01/2021 19:02

I still dont understand why patients cant see a gp face to face, social distancing when needed, with proper ppe

buenavistabelle · 11/01/2021 19:08

Sorry I should have been more clear - he can get a GP appointment in the next village (same practice) but he doesn't want to go there. No reason other than just doesn't want to.

Too many people read the right wing press but they tend to contradict themselves and have journalists who love to stir it all up.
The comments pages are mostly vile with everyone coming in for criticism and vitriol and how we shouldn't listen to the experts because ( obviously) Ken up the road knows so much more and how it's a huge conspiracy etc etc.
I feel that the press supported lockdown one but they have lost the plot with this one.
It's just making it all worse.
I know it's hard for everyone , but this constant negativity is fueling a lot of the constant complaining. I do understand why, but it's not helping matters.

YANBU. But I think this is happening because many of us have nothing interesting to talk about as we can't go anywhere or do much.
