Dropping book through friend's letterbox while on walk, yay or nay?

Just that really. Is it OK to walk by a friend's house to drop off book in her letterbox while I'm out for a walk?

Or you could go to a shop to buy a padded envelope, then to the post office to stand in a queue with a load of people to whom social distancing is but a fanciful myth and send it her that way.
