When you have had a test, does the app automatically tell you to isolate?

So Dh had a test yesterday, he has just checked his nhs app and its telling him to isolate with 9 days to go.
He hasn't received his results yet.
Does the app tell you to isolate before results?
We have obviously been isolating anyway, just wondering if the app knows something we don't.

No. It tells you to isolate if you've been in contact with a positive case. Did he even tell the app.he was getting a test? If you go into the app you can see when contact was but sounds like it was yesterday anyway

If you booked the test through the app it tells you to isolate.

If negative when you get the text you get a second one with a code that releases your app from telling you to isolate

No he didn't book it through the app, i can't see where it tells you when he's had contact with someone positive.

Somewhere in 'about app' and 'managing your app' I think (i have the Scottish app so ours is different)

If you input symptoms into the app it’ll tell you to book a test and to isolate until you have results.
