No GP

Hi, I have just moved to a new area and have tried to sign on at the local GP surgery. They told me they are not taking on any new patients at the moment. What do I do about the Covid vaccine / jabs? In a bit of a panic.

If you need to see a GP, the surgery has a “duty of care”, if you get fobbed of ask to speak with practice manager.

Is this a joke? The OP has type 1 diabetes, so seeing a GP (or rather being prescribed her insulin) is a matter of life and death.

Wrong. Access to a GP is a right.

@Funkypolar medical care is very much a right.

Write to your MP - we keep being told that the NHS is there for us and dealing with our health problems as usual, but it plainly is not. The fact that you need insulin should mean you are a priority.
