@MushMonster

Am I the only one whos is freighting about a secondary child ( so biologically much like myself) not being vaccinated coming next winter "wave"? I put wave in comas, as hopefully there will not really be one if the adults are mostly vaccinated by then. I do get that would protect my DD too. But I still want for her the same protections as for myself. I know peadetricians have asked for vaccines for children. Pfizer has been tested down to her age, which helps to put my mind at rest a bit. Yet, no licensed yet. I think Moderna is testing now, and Astra too. They reckon vaccines will be ready around summer 2021! Am I the only one feeling uneasy about this?

(And, yes, I know the amount of under 19s affected is very low. It is not 0.000000 though.)

I feel uneasy too having had one 14 year old with Covid who was very fit, yet still struggled.

I worry for his asthmatic sibling, also at a secondary with very high cases - 20% of the form having had it.

And all this when they should be focused on their GCSES normally.
I feel very uncomfortable about children and adults in this setting and were mine not entering y11 in September then I might have withdrawn them.

@BlueBaubles12

My favourite ministerial home background is Grant Shapps, who appears to have a union flag and a stylishly open ministerial red box on his desk. Nice.
When he's interviewed, he always has a different book displayed, I noticed his banner with his name on the other day. I'm just waiting for him to display a "well thumbed" issue of Razzle.

Out of the lot of them, I quite like him.

I do find Grant Shapps a bit odd.
He seems to be smiling his way through this crisis and just not taking it seriously ( is how I see it anyway!)
When they interviewed him about the drivers stuck at Dover before Christmas he seemed a bit disinterested: oh , it'll get sorted out was the general thinking.
Nothing about the poor people stuck there for days on end!
His passionate about trains and cycle lanes it seems , but not much else really.
I tend to try and work out the titles of the books behind him than anything much he actually says and anyone putting their own name up in such a prominent place is very dodgy too. Loves himself a bit too much.
Career politician but he is better than Gavin (because most of them are better than him which is a very low bar indeed)

@ssd I hadn't thought of it but that may be true.

Andrew Marr right now- Matt has changed the camera angle and it's now possible to see the door!!!
Phew!!

Not covid related, but I would like Shapps to do a U-turn on smart motorways asap.
