Has anyone had a positive Covid result via an ONS survey test?

Just that really, I’m wondering if and how they contacted you if your result was positive? And how long after you tested were you informed? We are on the study and all results have been negative so far but we have only been receiving them about 10 days after the tests were done (by post) and I’m wondering what happens with positive results. I know it’s just a study so not really to be relied on for individual diagnoses but I’m just interested!

Thanks

We're taking part in the ONS survey. I was told by the nurse yesterday that any positive results would be texted to us within 24-62 hours.... Negative results are apparently sent through considerably later than that.

Thanks @CheesePleaseLoueese I wonder if anyone has actually received a positive on the study on here. They must have I guess. Good to know they text it though
Rather than relying on snail Mail!

Were waiting on week 5 tests(although were actually like 9 weeks into it now as they don't bloody turn up or never book a visit!!! I think the whole planning of the test is absolutely atrocious. anyway weve have no positives either yet so it does make me wonder. Also have you all received your vouchers (im still waiting for week 3 and week 4 lots . I have emailed them but had no response)

I had a positive test from our participation in the ONS survey back in November. Received it by text from the NHS 6 days after posting - not great as I met a friend in the park in the meantime, meaning she and her kid had to isolate. Weirdly my partner tested negative throughout and my test the next week was negative Hmm

Yes, back in November. My oh had tested positive the week before as he had symptoms and then I started having symptoms the day before I was due the ons test. I told them when they phoned to book and they said it was fine for them to still come and do the test. The test was the Wednesday, on the Sunday eve I got a txt from track and trace saying ‘as you have recently tested positive........’. There had been no other communication from them just that txt which assumed that I already knew I tested positive! It was a good job we were isolating anyway!!!!
That was the last weekly test and the test in Dec came back negative. Although that took about 2.5 weeks for the letter to come through!!!
