Has anyone’s teen had a Covid test?

I’m taking my 15 year old ds for a test tomorrow.
They have asked that he brings photo ID, either passport or drivers license.
Obviously he hasn’t got a drivers license but he doesn’t have a passport either and no other form of photo ID.
I can’t find anywhere on the site to ask what to do if we have no photo ID.
Has anyone else had this issue?

No mine have passports.

I'd take any kind of identification inc his NHS number

I took mine for a test back in September, completely forgot to take any ID at all and nobody asked for it. We had the code thing on my phone that they sent when I booked the test.

I’m going to take a couple of hospital letters with me, hopefully they will suffice.

I had a test in November. Did have my driving licence with me but wasn’t asked for it.

LizzieMacQueen · 08/01/2021 17:23

I suppose you could take their red health book, but mine had passports as proof.

Same here. Got a test just before Christmas, asked for ID initially but QR code was sufficient

We took his passport but they didn't asked for ID. Just the barcode they send by email

I took my DS today, no one asked to see anything other than the QR code on my phone.

HelloDaisy · 08/01/2021 18:03

I’ve taken both of mine for tests on separate occasions and wasn’t asked for any ID.
