He was getting pretty angry when denouncing the people going into empty hospital corridors to then post online and say that Covid is all a hoax!

I liked that bit too. Good on him.

Thought nhs staff would appreciate having someone standing up for them

I loved that too. It was nice to hear some straight talking right from the heart for a change!

BlueBaubles12 · 07/01/2021 18:08

That’s what you get when the politicians aren’t talking - a bit of honesty and getting spoken to like adults.

Justa47 · 07/01/2021 18:11

He was great.

eattolose · 07/01/2021 18:16

And then later on he was getting very very impassioned! Could tell he was trying to hold back the anger but it was still coming out!

PurpleDaisies · 07/01/2021 18:17

I liked him. I thought he was clear and seemed to know what he was talking about.

MarshaBradyo · 07/01/2021 18:18

Yeh that was good

PleasantVille · 07/01/2021 18:19

I like the army chap too, very straight forward and reasuring

eattolose · 07/01/2021 18:21

I felt the army guy was less impressive. Reading too much and stumbling, but of course, I couldn't have spoken as well as him at all!

He certainly seems a safe pair of hands for the vaccine roll out

NomadNoMore · 07/01/2021 18:23

I kept thinking Johnson was channelling Corporal Jones when introducing the army guy

AgnesNaismith · 07/01/2021 18:26

It was great, I thought he got a bit lost in his presentation....then the anger quite rightly kicked in at that question and he showed his passion and intelligence.

Thought army man’s best bit was his back up plan of special forces vaccine teams. I’d have felt pretty cool saying that.

I was listening on the radio so didn't realise he was reading but I don't correlate public speaking ability with the ability to do a good job.

Maybe not seeing him makes it sound better.

eattolose · 07/01/2021 18:30

No, I didn't correlate the two either, just noticed he was less comfortable with the speech part
