How long have you waited for Home Test results

I ordered a home test last Thursday as a slight temperature for a couple of days, no other symptoms. I don't drive and the nearest walk in centre is two bus journeys away or a taxi but obviously couldn't put anyone at risk even though I'm sure it's probably just a bug .

Was emailed and told the test would arrive within two days. It didn't, arrived on the Sunday via an Amazon courier. I registered but had to send my test off on the Monday via my local Priority Postbox as there's no collection on Sundays and Amazon wasn't collecting it.

After I registered, was told by email that my results would be 2-4 days after receipt. Not heard anything yet.

So by the time I receive the results I probably wouldn't be infectious anyway .

Is this how long everyone waits ? I appreciate they're very busy but it does seem quite a time.

Mine was a drive thru but presumably tested the same way- my results took 6 days and I was an anxious wreck the whole time!

I didn't ever get results from my home test and several calls later they said it had been lost.

By the way if anyone is reading this thinking that their nearest walk in is really far away, please be aware that they change all the time! There has been one two roads away from me and at other times none within 10 miles. So it's worth continuing to check at different times of day, especially evenings for next day when there are still lots of appointments

Not sure if this is relevant as this was in the summer but my home test was 7 days between me ordering the test and receiving results. (I did the test on receipt and returned it straightaway)

We had a few. All arrived next day so you were unlucky with that. You were also unlucky to hit weekend post.

Then coming back, so measuring from when they received them, we had from 12 hours to 3 days I think.

So if yours will have arrived with them on Tuesday then you’re only 2 days from then.

I would guess usual is

Request on Thursday, arrive on Friday, you post back same day, it gets there Saturday morning, results about two days later on Monday morning.

Going in person is much quicker if you can. We’ve had results in person all 12-24 hours.

Oh, that's bad too, hope it was negative ?

I waited 7 days but it was over Christmas!

I did a home test on Monday and got my result by email around 6.00pm this evening.

Had my results an hour ago, negative, so I can go out for a walk today ~ normally a little inconsequential thing but will now seem like a luxury after being indoors !
