Are you back to working in an office?

I remember a few months ago people were saying they were going back to offices in January...are most people still WFH if they can?

We (civil service department) have been told we mustn’t go in unless it’s essential. Not sure how long this will go on for. The armed forces personnel are also being told they need to WFH unless doing an essential job like new recruit training where they have to be on site.

My company is happy for us to be WFH forever. I intend to go in twice a week just for a change of scene. At the moment I'll go in maybe once a month to do something I can't do at home.

I've been back in the office since June.

When we originally locked down we just stopped trading but actually orders kept coming in. It's impossible to do about 50% of my work from home .

I hate WFH. I have been mainly in the office, sometimes alone, the whole way through. Usually 80 of us work in the office but never currently more than (the same) 6. Been told today that I am not allowed back until at least March. Honestly I could cry. I think this will break me.

We opened our offices in July on a voluntary basis but then closed them during the November lockdown and closed again now. I’ve only been in 6 times since last March

WFH since March and likely to at least until May I think. Lift capacity a constraint, tech works well.

WhiteChocTwix · 06/01/2021 19:50

I miss the office, am full time at home. Unemployed again end of Jan 😔

I started wfh in March. Still at home. Not been in the office once. I love it!

LittleRen · 06/01/2021 20:51

I cannot find where to report a business. HSE only takes reports for certain businesses, online retailer/office not being one of them. Frustrating!

Been in the office the whole time! A job that CAN be done from home but as it is the company's preference to have staff in the office.. We've all been here every day! Hmm

Our office has opened one floor for people who are suffering with mental health or need technology. Properly starting to open 17th May.

NeverForgetYourDreams · 09/03/2021 17:37

Been back in office since June

peak2021 · 09/03/2021 18:04

We have been told that it will be at least wfh until 21 June. After that probably only part of the week. Current issue would be lift capacity given the need to socially distance.
