Could this be Covid? None of the three symptoms

I’ve been feeling achey with bad headaches for the last 3 evenings and in the last 24 hours it’s developed to a sore throat. I have Dd2 and she seems a bit out of sorts and has had a sliggtly runny tummy. I also have a baby (7 weeks) who has a blocked nose and cough. DH feels well.

I’m wondering whether to lie on the website and get myself tested even though these are none of the 3 symptoms of Covid. Has anyone tested positive with symptoms like these?

Yes that's how it started for me too. DH tested positive the other day and I'm awaiting results.

Really? Oh God. I've been a bit achy yesterday and today with a mild headache and slight sore throat, and I've been sleeping a lot. No temperature and only the slightest cough. I suppose I'd better ring my GP in the morning.

Bigredriding · 06/01/2021 04:29

@Notthisnotthat how are you feeling now? I hope your DH is ok. I guess it could be nothing and the only place I’ve been is in a supermarket on the 31st Dec, but I guess that would fit with the incubation period? I think I might lie and book a test.

Yes, that's how extended family presented.

Sorry. Goid news is they're all on the mend now.

ProfessorSillyStuff · 06/01/2021 04:36

Yes, thats how it starts, which is why people saying "it's just a little cold I'm sending my kids in" are batty.

Notthisnotthat · 06/01/2021 04:39

DH has moderate asthma so his cough is far worse than mine. We have a thermometer and a SATs monitor and the GP told him to monitor them for a few days.

Mine seems to be more gastric, lots of nausea and diarrhoea, fever, chills. The fear and anxiety is worse I think so now avoid news websites.

And the insomnia sucks too.

I have been achy, drained, sore throat, slight cough, sinus pain and had headaches but I tested negative. Had the symptoms for just over a week now and starting to feel better. Barely got out of bed for 4 days though!

My sister was the same and also tested negative.

lovelemoncurd · 06/01/2021 04:54

My first symptom was diarrhoea! The 3 symptoms on 111 are so out of date it's ridiculous! Get tested.

Bigredriding · 06/01/2021 09:20

I’ve just booked a test for this morning so hopefully there’ll be an answer soon. My glands have come up and I feel a bit feverish but temp is 37.2 so all good.

I have had no cough at all. I started with bad headache, dizzy, tired and hearing has dullened and I feel like I am in a bad dream, brain fog, etc. I then lost my taste and smell. My normal body temp is around 36. One day it was 37.1 but ever since then it has been 35. I think I am on day 6 or 7 I tested on Saturday but only got my result this morning. I expected it but I am still shocked. I have not tasted or smelled anything since last Thursday

rainbowhamster · 06/01/2021 09:34

Definitely. All the people I know who have had it recently have had things like headaches & d&v but no cough! They need to update the advice and tell anyone who feels unwell to get tested.

TakingItOnTheChin · 06/01/2021 09:42

oh and DH had a bit of a sniffly cold over Xmas, he did not go out but didnt get a test but I presume he had Covid and gave it to me. I have only been out of the house twice this year, in Sept and Nov for medical appointments but here I am, it has found me in the end. Hmm

kingkuta · 06/01/2021 09:48

I can't believe people are having to lie about symptoms to get a test. Where I live we have been able to get tested, whether you have symptoms or not, for months now. There are walk in sites everywhere. It should be like this across the UK. I still see posters on here telling people off for wanting a test because they haven't got one of the 3 symptoms. Just ridiculous.

Bigredriding · 06/01/2021 11:51

I can’t believe the symptoms can vary so massively. I’ve had the test so we’ll see. I’d be so surprised if it is Covid
