How long after loss of taste did you test positive?

Had an asthmatic cough for a day, booked the earliest test I could which is tomorrow at 13.30, this evening I realised things taste muted. It's not that I can't taste anything it's just not as much as usual. Like whisky, I knew it was strong alcohol because it could feel the burn but I wouldn't have been able to tell you which spirit it was etc.

Is tomorrow (Wednesday) too early to get a positive test?

I had a negative test the week after losing my sense of taste and smell. Stayed at home and then had a positive test seven weeks later.
