Weird/non existant periods after having Covid?

Anyone else? Had Covid a couple of months ago (was really quite unwell for a couple of weeks but not hospital level bad) - had period while actually unwell (which was a delight!!!) but it was late. Next period after that came really early and was barely there. I’m due on this week and whilst I’ve had PMS symptoms/minor cramps it’s basically just barely there spotting again.

I’ve taken a preg test in case it’s implantation bleeding (we only use condoms) but it’s negative. Bit worried the virus has somehow damaged me!

Anyone else and did it go back to normal? I am actually hoping it starts getting heavier and more normal - a first time for everything!!

There've been several threads about this, either effect of Covid or of lockdown on cycles. A recent one linked to some emerging research I think. Can't remember what the thread title was. Try searching under menstrual/periods/Covid?

Oh sorry, should have done a search!

Research would be interesting but surely there’s a difference between lockdown impact (most likely stress related) and actual virus impact which could be physical damage? Sad

Yes I think that was what research/people are now saying.

Google "long Covid periods menstrual" and you get everything from The Sun to the British Medical Journal!
