Unpaid/family carers now moved up vaccine list

Just that really if anyone is interested. The rules have just changed and now family carers fall into group 6 along with those with underlying conditions. As it should be imo.

I guess I might have to make a decision about this earlier than end of year as the GP knows I'm unofficial carer for mum.

There’s no change, carers were always in group 6. There are some restrictions on who counts as a carer.

Bungle thats not what my GP said before Christmas and certainly the link from Carers Uk states that they weren't included earlier.

Either way its good news now though

They were always in the green book which is the definitive source when giving any vaccine. I’m sure the source is right that it was missed on the government website but your GP should have been going by the green book. Yes good news that it’s been corrected as errors like that can obviously cause delays!
