Shared by a medic on FB. Summary of findings of the Sage report into children - and this was published before the emergence of the new variant. Before. Goodness knows what the situation is now.

It says children are most likely to be the index case (i.e. bring the infection home). Compared to people aged 17+, the chances of bringing the virus into the home was 7 times higher for kids aged 12-16 and nearly 3 times higher for kids under 12.
